2008 IDPA Matches Information
International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) shooting as a
sport is quite simply the use of practical equipment including full
charge service ammunition to solve simulated "real world"
self-defense scenarios. Shooters competing in Defensive Pistol events
are required to use practical handguns (typical production revolvers
or semi-auto pistols - .38Sp/9mm or larger) and holsters that are
truly suitable for self-defense use. No "competition only"
equipment is permitted in Defensive Pistol matches since the main
goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual, not his
or her equipment or gamesmanship.
TCSC IDPA Matches
New shooters need to come 2 hours early on their first shoot
to take a intro/safety class. The class will be available before
every shoot.
Registration required at all events, so you may need to show up
15-30 minutes before the posted start times.
