Mosin Nagant and Military Rifle Fun Matches 2012

Get out your milsurps and have some fun!

Matches are open to the general public as well as TCSC members

Schedule and Registration

Saturday March 3rd,

Saturday May 5th,

Saturday June 30th,

Saturday September 15th,


Registration:  8:00 a.m., 1st Round Starts:  9:00 a.m.

Match fee:  $10.00 per competitor ($5.00 for Mosin, $5.00 for Military).

Ammunition will not be supplied by the club.

About the Matches

There will be a sight-in/warm up period of 20 minutes for both Mosin and military rifles, and the actual match will start at 9:30

Aggregate target scores will be used to determine first place prize winners for Mosin and Military rounds

Mosin Nagant Round

The first round will be for Mosin Nagant rifles with issue iron sights, using surplus, factory or reloaded ammunition.   Targets shall be NRA SR and SR-1.  

The course of fire will be:

  • 10 rounds sitting at 100 yards
  • 10 rounds offhand (standing) at 100 yards
  • 10 rounds shooting off of the bench at 200 yards (no rests allowed, only elbows on the bench)

Military Rifle Round

The military rifle round will be for single shot, bolt action or semiautomatic military rifles with issue iron sights, using surplus, factory or  reloaded ammunition. 

The course of fire and scoring will be the same as the Mosin round.

AR15 RIFLES (AND THEIR VARIANTS), AS WELL AS NON-ISSUE SIGHTS MAY BE USED BUT WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR PRIZES.

There will be extra Mosin rifles and 7.62X54R ammo for sale for anyone who would like to shoot the Mosin round but does not have a Mosin Nagant.

We will have cookouts after the matches - bring your own burgers, beverages etc.
