The Thurmont Conservation and Sportsman's Club (TCSC) is a private organization. If you are interested in joining, we suggest that you participate in some of our matches and get to know a few of our members. The only events open to non-members are trap on Tuesday and Friday nights, from 5:30pm until 10:00pm and other disciplines matches, although, you may need to be a member of that discipline, such as USPSA, etc. You will need a sponsor to join.*

Many people contact us to ask, "I just want to rent a range for a few hours to zero my sights, how much does that cost?" or "How much is the pool fee for a non-member?" Unfortunately, we do not rent ranges or the pool to non-members, you can use the facilities as a guest, as long as you are physically accompanied by a current club member.

Note: you can download and print an application pdf** document from here.

* Membership fees are shown in the table below and can be reduced by performing club volunteer hours. Membership hours are calculated ion a $10 reduction in dues or fee, per hour, after a member performs their required 8 hours (although, once a member hits 8 hours, those 8 hours of service count in the reduction of fees.)

*The best way to get a sponsor is to come out for Trap night and chat with members or visit matches  see the Club calendar) and chat with people. (Please be respectful and stay away from tthe matches themselves. Please wear hearing protection near the ranges.) You might ask for a match director whom can direct you to various people for more information, some members may even give you a tour of the club grounds. We have a good number of members and we all had to get to know each other at one point or another. You can also come to a general membership meeting the First Thursday of each month at 7PM and introduce yourself to people, they are all members and willing to chat.
